A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Moon Phase Watch

Presented here is the venerable A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 moon phase watch in a 38.5mm case. The iconic AL&S look is achieved by the arrangement of the functions on the dial; the large display of the time at left, eclipsing the moonphase & small seconds indicator at bottom right, and the blocky date indicator at top right, with the power reserve just below this. The watch is also finished to an almost unimaginably high standard as collectors will expect from AL&S; for example, the moonphase is actually made of two overlapping gold discs; one that comprises the moon, and the other disc behind it which rotates every 24 hours. The moonphase indication is so accurate that it only needs correction once every 122.6 years. Turn the watch over, and one will see the manual wind movement displayed beautifully via an exhibition case back. This is a serious watch for a serious collector.
