The LOVE, as with the Cartier Juste Un Clou, was designed by Aldo Cipullo, easily one of the most important jewelry designers of the 20th century, having created enduring and coveted jewels for Tiffany & Co., David Webb, and Cartier, among others. But most well known of all of Cipullo's work is certainly the Love and Juste Un Clou collections. The Love bracelet was originally launched in 1969 and over time, has become an icon of the house on the same level as the Panthere motif, adopted for Cartier by Jeanne Touissant in 1948.
