Van Cleef & Arpels Gold and Mother of Pearl Vintage Alhambra Pendant

An 18 karat yellow gold and mother-of-pearl Alhambra pendant in the “vintage” size by famed French jeweler, Van Cleef & Arpels. The mother-of-pearl is set within a gold, perlee bordered quatrefoil shape and the chain is adjustable between 16 and 18 inches with a VCA lobster closure. This necklace is accompanied by its original box. 

The Alhambra collection was designed in 1969 by a member of the Arpels family, and became an instant classic whose popularity has only risen with every passing year. Originally launched as a twenty motif necklace in hammered gold, the collection has taken on a life of its own, having been offered in almost every conceivable stone at different times throughout its history.
